Crews respond to boat fire in Carolina Beach
CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Fire crews responded to a boat fire in Carolina Beach late Wednesday afternoon.
The fire broke out just before 4 p.m. at a dock in the 800 block of Canal Drive.
Carolina Beach Fire Chief Alan Griffin says a small fire broke out on the back of the boat. No one was on board at the time.
As of 5:30 p.m., fire investigators were still on scene, but we’re told nothing appeared suspicious.
The investigation is on-going and there are no details yet on the cause of the fire.
