YMCA camps come to Brunswick County Schools

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina is expanding its programs in partnership with Brunswick County schools.

Starting this year, the YMCA will offer full-day and summer camp programs at Belville Elementary School, Town Creek Middle School, and Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School.

The new programs aim to provide students with safe engaging environments where they can develop skills and learn new activities.

“Meeting the needs of people in our community is one of our top priorities,” said Elisha Dixson, YMCA Youth Services Regional Program Director, Brunswick County. “Through these programs, we are not only providing safe spaces for children, but also helping to build a healthier, more prosperous community in Brunswick County.”
