BOILING SPRING LAKES, N.C. (WWAY) — The battle of the top two teams in the Southeastern Conference went the way of unbeaten West Bladen with a 73-59 road win over South Brunswick on Tuesday.

Coming off a state semifinal appearance in 2025, the Knights could do virtually no wrong early on as their quick possessions resulted in their shots going in. They went into halftime up by 17.

Tylik McCall led the visitors with 25 points followed by Jackson Pait’s 14.

“It was very big against a great South Brunswick team,” McCall said. “Probably going to be top three in our league. It was a great win. We came out, guys fought hard and we got the dub. Huge win for us. Our defense, we’re more into people now. Last year, we used to play zone. Now we’re man defense and that was a big change for us. That’s one of the biggest changes from this year to last year.”

South Brunswick was led in scoring by Jayden Daniel, who had 17. Edward Young added another 12.
