Brunswick residents already preparing for a winter weekend

LELAND, NC (WWAY)– Less than a week after a winter storm caused major disruptions in other parts of the country, and with another winter storm on the way, some folks are already preparing.

At the Walmart Supercenter on New Pointe Boulevard in Leland people started to head inside the store on Wednesday. People were ready wearing heavy coats and sweaters, preparing for yet another winter storm that could affect the cape fear this weekend.

Leland resident Janet Duefield says when she shopped on Wednesday, she loaded her car with extra supplies, just in case of any significant snowfall.

“I just got everything all at one place, instead of going to a couple places. I definitely had a full cart. I had to hold it all down to get it out to the car,” said Duefield.

With the possibility of winter weather this weekend, make sure you have adequate emergency supplies, winterize your vehicle, and don’t forget to check on any senior adults in your neighborhood.
