Downtown District Day hopes to help businesses throughout each district

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– Downtown District Day was underway on Saturday, and it was a great way to experience all that the districts of Wilmington have to offer.

From the Cargo District to the Soda Pop District, the Downtown Business Alliance of Wilmington gave free trolley rides to anybody participating to all seven districts.

Andrea Arth, President of the Alliance, hopes the event not only brings awareness to the businesses in each district, but also to bring a transportation service, like the trolley to Wilmington.

“It’s important because we need the transportation between each district. We are very much spread out with a lot of things jam packed out in every single district. We want a way for people to get around, to experience the districts, to keep the businesses going and thriving, and to bring new businesses into Wilmington,” said Arth.
