Highway Patrol Trooper killed in car crash in Robeson County
ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a trooper was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.
Highway Patrol says Master Trooper Stein Davis was on duty, driving down NC 130 just after midnight, when he lost control of his patrol vehicle.
The vehicle went off the road and flipped upside down in a swampy area.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
