Nextdoor data reveals Parsley Woods as Wilmington’s friendliest community
WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Question, what’s Wilmington’s friendliest neighborhood? If you guessed Parsley Woods, you are correct!
Nextdoor, the hyper local social network did a deep data dive on how users interact on the platform. Its analysis showed residents in Parsley Woods have the most helpful and positive online comments and conversations.
Nextdoor’s Kelsey Grady explains the methodology behind this distinction.
“How often were they posting on Nextdoor? How often were they helping each other out using the Nextdoor platform? How friendly were they in these interactions with one another,” said Grady.
In addition to that, Nextdoor looked at the tone of the online interactions. We went to Parsley Woods to see if Nextdoor’s data is correct. We ran into Susie Weiler, the social director of Parsley Woods and she says that this is a loving community and is the perfect place to live.
“We can go from house to house, we look out for each other, we see something that doesn’t look quite right, we’ll go check on our neighbors. We all have dogs we walk our dogs everybody is just so friendly its we’ve been here for twelve years and love the neighborhood,” said Weiler.
Nextdoor says coming behind Parsley Woods is Landsdowne Millbrook, Landfall in third, Autobahn Devon Park in fourth and rounding out the top five is Silva Terra.
