Rouzer wins Republican nomination for US House in NC’s 7th Congressional District

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Incumbent U.S. Rep. David Rouzer has secured the Republican nomination for North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District.

Rouzer won the Republican primary Tuesday night, earning his party’s nomination to seek another term representing the district in Congress.

The Republican congressman will now move on to the general election in November, where he is expected to face Democratic candidate Kimberly Hardy.

Rouzer has represented southeastern North Carolina since 2015.
