Local Jack and Jill of America chapter to host inaugural Rise and Run 5K fundraiser
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– The Wilmington chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., will host the inaugural Rise and Run 5K fundraiser on Saturday, March 21, at Long Leaf Park.
Attendees will enjoy a high-energy morning filled with community, fitness, music, and purpose. Organizers say this is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your business, connect with local families, and support two impactful organizations.
Chapter President Bernice Sanders-Johnson shared what she hopes the community will take away from the event: “I hope this event shows what we can do when we come together as a community,” she said. Sanders added, “The 5K is not just about running; it’s about supporting the community and The Carousel Center.”
The event takes place at Long Leaf Park, located at 314 Pine Grove Dr. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the race kicks off at 9 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Foundation and The Carousel Child Advocacy Center.
