Pender County resident killed in single vehicle accident on Blueberry Road

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Pender County resident is dead following a single-vehicle car crash on Blueberry Road near Currie.

Sergeant Mark Myers with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed the person was driving a Dodge Caravan south on Blueberry Road when they went off the road to the right, overcorrected, went back across the road to the left, and crashed into a tree.

The driver was the only occupant inside the vehicle.

Sergeant Myers says they were in the process of notifying next of kin, but the driver’s identity has not been released.
