Police identify 17-year-old killed in Wilmington shooting on Sunn Aire Court

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police have identified a 17-year-old who was killed in a shooting Monday afternoon.

Police say Kamari McNeil died following the shooting, which happened just before 3:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Sunn Aire Court.

A second person who was also shot is being treated at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. No word yet on their condition.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, everyone involved knew each other, and the case is being investigated as an isolated incident.
