Onslow County deputies arrest two teens after Hubert shooting

ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two teenagers are facing charges in connection with a shooting that injured a 15-year-old in Hubert.
According to the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 11:27 p.m. Tuesday to reports of gunshots in The Pines Mobile Home Park.
When deputies arrived, they found a 15-year-old male inside a home with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg. Emergency crews transported the teen to Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune for treatment.
Investigators identified two juvenile males as suspects. On Wednesday, authorities, along with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office, executed search warrants at a residence in Jones County, where both suspects were taken into custody without incident.
Authorities identified the suspects as Braylen Isaiah Williams and Kamarion Emmanuel Faison, both 16 years old.
Due to changes to North Carolina’s “Raise the Age” law in 2024, juveniles ages 16 and 17 charged with Class A through E felonies can be prosecuted as adults.
Both teens are charged with discharge of a weapon into occupied property resulting in serious bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
Investigators say they are still working to determine what led to the shooting.
