Hoggard gets revenge, dominates Ashley 5-0

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — After three incredible meetings last year that saw Ashley win twice, it was Hoggard taking their first meeting in 2026 by a score of 5-0 on Monday.

Midway through the 1st half, Graysen Fisher blasted a shot to put the Vikings on the board. Airlie Altman added another before halftime.

Early into the 2nd half, Sophie Scott rainbowed in a goal of her own. Brielle Archer and Charlotte Ray also added late tallies, giving Hoggard five total goal scorers as they remain undefeated in Carolina Coast Conference play.

“I think we were all looking forward to it,” Scott said. “We knew it was going to be a good game, but we’ve all been working hard and playing together as a team. Getting better every day. I think we deserved this game. I think it showed all of our potential as a team.”
