What’s happening across the Cape Fear this weekend

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — Spring is officially in full swing, and if you’re looking to get out of the house and soak up that sunshine, there are plenty of events that you and the whole family can enjoy this weekend.
On Friday the Busy Bloom Company is hosting its first-ever Fleur Couture: a Floral Fashion Show. Models will hit the runway in one-of-a-kind garments made entirely of fresh flowers by local artists for a stunning live runway show. The event is ticketed and starts at 7 P.M. at the Azalea Station in the Cargo District.
On Saturday…if you’re looking for a furry friend this spring, Petsense in Leland will be hosting an Adopt-a-Thon. There will be pets up for adoption and more than 40 local vendors to shop with, and attendees can also expect raffles and giveaways as well as various food trucks.
The event is free and goes from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.
And the weather isn’t the only thing heating up in the Cape Fear. Car enthusiasts will be warming up their engines as PT’s car show hosted by Wilmington Car Meets kicks off on Saturday from 5 to 9 P.M. at PT’s grille in Leland. The event will feature live music, sponsor booths, and a variety of vehicles for viewing.
Whether you’re looking for a new furry companion, supporting local artists as they turn flowers into fashion, or hitting the pavement to show off your hot wheels, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this weekend across the Cape Fear region.
