Multi-vehicle crash causing delays on Cape Fear Memorial Bridge

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Drivers are being asked to avoid the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge due to a crash involving nine vehicles in the west bound lanes.

The Wilmington Police Department said officers are on the scene of the collision.

Police say there appears to be mild to moderate damage to the vehicles but no serious injuries at this point.

One lane heading west has been closed. Drivers should seek an alternate route and expect significant delays in the area.
