Portion of Blue Clay Road to close Saturday for road repairs following water line work

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — A portion of Blue Clay Road will be closed in both directions Saturday while crews complete road repairs following a recent water line installation.

The closure will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 27, in the 3900 block of Blue Clay Road, just south of Juvenile Center Road.

According to officials, the road is expected to remain closed for approximately 12 hours as crews repair the roadway.

During the closure, southbound traffic on Blue Clay Road will be detoured via North College Road, Bavarian Lane and North Kerr Avenue.

Northbound traffic will be detoured using North Kerr Avenue, Bavarian Lane and North College Road.

Detour signs will be posted throughout the area to direct motorists around the closure.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, expect delays and use alternate routes while work is underway.
