Missing: Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office seeks public’s help locating missing woman

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman who was last seen Sunday night.

Authorities are searching for Johanna Lee Marshburn, 39, who was last seen at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday on Stoney Brook Court.

According to the sheriff’s office, Marshburn is described as 4 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 110 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, jean shorts, and a blue hoodie tied around her waist.

Investigators said it is unknown which direction Marshburn traveled after she was last seen. Authorities also do not know whether she left the area on foot or was picked up by a vehicle.

Anyone with information about Johanna Lee Marshburn’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 or contact the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office at 910-253-2777.

The sheriff’s office is also asking community members to share the information in hopes of helping bring Marshburn home safely.
