Marty Stuart and his fabulous superlatives are coming to Wilmington’s Wilson Center

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Country music legend Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives are coming to the Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College for a special performance this fall.
The five-time Grammy Award-winning artist and Country Music Hall of Fame member will take the stage on Friday, November 13, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Wilson Center’s upcoming lineup.
With a career spanning more than five decades, Stuart has helped shape the sound and history of country music. Fans know him for Grammy-winning songs including “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’” and “Same Old Train,” as well as acclaimed albums such as “Hillbilly Rock” and “This One’s Gonna Hurt You.”
Throughout his career, Stuart has performed alongside country icons including Lester Flatt and Johnny Cash before building a successful solo career and becoming one of the genre’s most respected musicians.
Stuart will be joined by his longtime band, The Fabulous Superlatives, featuring Kenny Vaughan, Harry Stinson and Chris Scruggs. The group has earned critical praise for its recent projects, including the 2023 album “Altitude” and Stuart’s first full-length instrumental double LP, “Space Junk.”
The Wilson Center says the performance will showcase Stuart’s signature blend of traditional country sounds, instrumental skill and the energy that has made him a standout figure in the genre.
Tickets will be available online to Wilson Center Members beginning Wednesday, July 8, at 10 a.m. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, July 10, at 10 a.m. online and in person.
