BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Ice Cream Truck made a stop in Sandy Creek on Wednesday morning and is now heading to Northwest as part of its ongoing community outreach initiative.

Families in the Northwest area are invited to stop by and enjoy a free ice cream treat while supplies last. The event is designed to bring deputies and residents together in a fun, family-friendly setting.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the outreach program is funded using money seized from drug dealers through law enforcement forfeitures, not taxpayer dollars. Officials say the initiative is one way those funds are being reinvested into the communities they serve.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to bring their children, meet local deputies, and enjoy a free frozen treat during the visit.

Next Stop: Northwest
