LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12196 and its Auxiliary will host a breakfast later this month to recognize and honor Korean War-era veterans.

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 27 at the VFW post, located at 1018 D Grandiflora Drive in Leland.

According to organizers, all veterans are invited to attend the event, which commemorates the anniversary of the Korean Armistice Agreement, signed July 27, 1953, ending active hostilities in the Korean War.

Breakfast snacks will be provided during the gathering.

VFW Post Commander Gerald Decker said the event is intended to recognize the service of Korean War-era veterans.

“We can’t let them be the Forgotten Warrior,” Decker said in an email announcing the event.

The breakfast is sponsored by Leland VFW Post 12196 and its Auxiliary, with support from Signature Wealth Strategies.
