Traffic delays & parking closures as ‘RJ Decker’ films in Carolina Beach Tuesday

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Residents and visitors may notice film crews in Carolina Beach on Tuesday, (July 28), as production for ABC’s “RJ Decker” takes place in town.

According to the Town of Carolina Beach, filming is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the 200 and 300 blocks of Carolina Beach Avenue North.

Several public parking lots will be closed during filming, including:

• Pelican East Lot (235-239 Carolina Beach Ave. N.)
• Pelican West Lot (234-302 Carolina Beach Ave. N.)
• Fisherman’s Lot (224 Canal Drive)
• Harbor Master Lot (309 Carolina Beach Ave. N.)

Drivers should also expect minor traffic delays in the area throughout the day. Carolina Beach Police officers will be on site to help direct traffic and assist motorists.

Town officials encourage residents and visitors to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate parking locations if visiting the area during filming.
