NC woman Elizabeth Waddell missing in Grenada, not seen returning from swim, police say

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) — A Cary woman who disappeared while vacationing in Grenada was last seen entering the water for a swim and was not captured on surveillance footage returning to shore, according to an update from the Royal Grenada Police Force.

Elizabeth “Liz” Waddell, 44, has been missing since Wednesday, July 22. She was staying in the Grand Anse Beach area of St. George’s, Grenada, while vacationing with a friend.

During a news conference Tuesday, a Grenada police commissioner said Waddell remains missing and that the case is still being treated as a missing person investigation.
