City of Wilmington cancels July ‘Free Mulch Friday’

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The City of Wilmington has announced the cancellation of the July installment of Free Mulch Friday.

The event was scheduled for July 31.

City officials say the community program was canceled due to the current heat, limited mulch availability and staffing needs.

The program is expected to return in August, but a date has not yet been set.
