AT&T fiber cut causes cell service outages across Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — AT&T customers in Brunswick County may experience interrupted or reduced cellular service due to a fiber cut affecting multiple cell sites, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said it was notified of the outage and that AT&T technicians are on-site working to restore service as quickly as possible.
Officials said the outage is impacting most AT&T cellular sites in the area, which could result in diminished or unavailable cell service for customers in multiple locations across the county.
The sheriff’s office noted the issue is specific to AT&T customers and does not affect other cellular providers.
