KidsStreet Urgent Care hosts Back to School Bash to share free school supplies

WILMINGTON (WWAY) — With summer break winding down, one local organization is marking sure families have another chance to have fun before heading back to the classroom.

Kid’s Street Urgent Care hosted their “Back to School Bash” event in Wilmington Friday, hosting a free event with bounce houses, a foam party, and fun activities for the whole family.

On top of that, dozens of families received free backpacks filled with school supplies.

“It’s very important because some people can afford school supplies,” said Wilmington resident Latisha Bloomfield. “Some families have to decide between clothes or supplies or anything else they need, so every little thing helps.”

Raffle tickets were also handed out, giving winners the chance to take home prizes like a Nintendo Switch, an Apple Watch, or a variety of gift cards.
