Wilmington Police postpone National Night Out to October

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department has postponed its National Night Out celebration due to bad weather.
The event, originally scheduled for Tuesday evening, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Pointe at Barclay.
National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement, first responders, community organizations and residents while promoting neighborhood safety and community engagement.
The event will feature family-friendly activities, safety demonstrations, vendor exhibits, children’s activities and opportunities for residents to meet with police officers, first responders and community partners.
The Wilmington Police Department said members of the public are encouraged to attend the rescheduled event.
