Landfall foundation kicks off 2026 Art Show
WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — The Landfall Foundation kicked off its 2026 Art Show and Sale Monday night with a First Look Fundraiser at the Country Club of Landfall.
The event features more than 225 artists and 1,376 pieces of art, making it one of the largest art shows in southeastern North Carolina, according to Landfall Foundation President Denise Baer.
“We’re one of the largest art shows in all of southeastern North Carolina, and we’re very proud to be able to represent our local artists,” Baer said.
The show includes a wide range of paintings, photography, glass, wood, ceramics and multimedia pieces which rotate through as artwork is sold, meaning the selection changes throughout the three days.
A portion of every sale is donated to the Landfall Foundation and goes directly toward its grant program, which supports nonprofit organizations in Brunswick, New Hanover and Pender counties focusing health and welfare, education and the arts.
“Every day is a new opportunity to see incredible art,” Baer said.
The show also recognizes artists with first and second place awards in two-dimensional and three-dimensional categories, along with an overall Best in Show and 10 honorable mentions.
One of those honorable mentions went to Kathy Johnson for her bronze piece, “Sitting Pretty.”
Monday night’s First Look Fundraiser gave guests the first opportunity to view and purchase artwork before the public opening.
The Art Show is one of three major annual fundraisers for the Landfall Foundation, along with its annual Gala and Holiday Marketplace.
The Art Show and Sale open to the public Tuesday and runs through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Country Club of Landfall, 800 Sun Runner Place.
Admission is free.
