Supply man charged with murder in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A 22-year-old Supply man is facing a murder charge in Brunswick County, according to newly filed court records.

Zachary Aaron Craddock was charged Wednesday in connection with the death of Stephen Russell Bradshaw. A magistrate’s order alleges Craddock “did of malice aforethought kill and murder” Bradshaw on Aug. 26.

Court records show Craddock was arrested Wednesday by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office. The magistrate’s order says he was arrested without a warrant and that a judicial official found probable cause to support the murder charge based on information provided under oath by the arresting officer.

The available court documents do not provide details about where or how Bradshaw died.

Craddock’s release was not authorized following his arrest. Court records state that any bond must be set by a judge.

He is scheduled to make his first court appearance at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Brunswick County Courthouse.

The case was filed Wednesday in Brunswick County District Court and remained pending as of Thursday morning.
