RJ Decker Season 2 filming planned for three Wilmington locations
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Production for the second season of RJ Decker is scheduled to film at three Wilmington locations next week, according to filming permit applications submitted to the city.
The 20th Television production is expected to film Sept. 8 at Crafted Outpost on S. 16th Street, Sept. 10 at CFCC Union Station, and Sept. 11 at Murray Storage on S. 5th Avenue.
At 615 S. 16th Street, filming is planned from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 8, with about 100 crew members, two cast members and 10 extras. Production will take place inside and outside. The 1600 block of Queen Street will be closed for equipment parking, and two police officers are planned to assist with the production.
On Sept. 10, crews will film outside at CFCC Union Station at 502 N. Front Street and 504 Nutt Street from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The permit calls for about 80 crew members, two cast members and 40 extras. Equipment will be parked along portions of Nutt and 2nd streets, while additional parking, base camp and catering will be set up at nearby private properties.
There will be no full street closure at Union Station, but the northbound lane of Nutt Street between Red Cross and Hanover streets will be used for traffic control. Two police officers are planned at nearby intersections.
Production also plans to add tropical plants to planter boxes and flower beds and place signage on the CFCC Union Station building. Crews will coordinate with the project manager for the N. Front Street overpass construction to limit construction noise while filming.
The final planned filming day is Sept. 11 at 1400 S. 5th Avenue at Murray Storage, running from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The production expects about 100 crew members, two cast members and 10 extras. Filming will take place both inside and outside.
Both southbound lanes in the 1400 block of S. 5th Avenue are expected to close for filming. Two police officers will be stationed at Martin Street and 5th Avenue and Greenfield Street and 5th Avenue.
Lifts and generators are listed as special equipment for the S. 16th Street and S. 5th Avenue shoots. No special effects are planned for any of the three filming days.
