Motorcyclist killed in crash on Castle Hayne Road
Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the NC 133 I-140 interchange around 6:30 Tuesday night, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said an SUV was traveling north on Castle Hayne Road and entered an intersection with a green light.
According to the Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist approaching the intersection failed to yield while making a right turn, overturned and was then struck by the SUV.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
