Veteran actor Jordan Rhodes to host presentation at CFCC

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College will host actor Jordan Rhodes for a presentation and question-and-answer session on September 17.

Rhodes will present “Blue Collar Actor” at 3 p.m. in Room 170 of Union Station. The event is being hosted in partnership with CFCC’s Department of Fine Arts, Film and Design and is open to acting students and the general public.

The program will begin with a screening of selected film and television clips from Rhodes’ six-decade career.

His credits include roles in The Night Stalker and House of Good & Evil, as well as recurring roles in five television series, including Streets of San Francisco and Matlock. Matlock was filmed in Wilmington.

Rhodes will also discuss his career, including his early work on his uncle’s tobacco farm, his studies with acting teachers Lee Strasberg and Sanford Meisner, and his work in New York City.

According to CFCC, Rhodes has worked alongside actors including Gregory Peck, John Wayne, Gene Hackman, Jodie Foster, Mia Farrow, Robert Wagner and Michael Douglas.

An audience Q&A will follow the presentation.

The event is free and open to the public.
