Southport Holiday Tour of Homes expands for 2026
Southport, NC (WWAY) — The Southport Holiday Tour of Homes will return in December with an expanded schedule that includes a new guided tour.
The 35th annual event will take place Saturday, Dec. 12, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A smaller guided tour will also be offered Friday, Dec. 11, from 1 to 5:30 p.m.
The event is presented by the Southport Historical Society and Downtown Southport Inc. as part of the city’s annual Winterfest Festival.
Nine homes and one church will be included on this year’s tour. Organizers say the locations include a mix of historic, renovated and newly constructed homes throughout Southport.
The traditional Saturday event will remain self-guided, while the new Friday event will be conducted in small groups.
Tickets are $35 for Saturday and $75 for Friday. Organizers plan to make 1,000 tickets available for Saturday and 200 for Friday.
Tickets will go on sale online Thursday, Nov. 19, at 10 a.m. through the Southport Historical Society. Purchases will be limited to four tickets per transaction.
Organizers said more than 120 volunteers are expected to help with this year’s event, including docents who will provide information about the history and features of participating homes.
The Holiday Tour of Homes is traditionally held during the second weekend of December as part of Southport’s Winterfest Festival.
