Wallace-Rose Hill football ends Pender’s unbeaten start, 28-6
WALLACE, N.C. (WWAY) — Pender football entered Friday night unbeaten, but Wallace-Rose Hill brought the Patriots’ 2-0 start to an end with a 28-6 win.
The Bulldogs were already up 14-0 when their quarterback broke free for a 52-yard touchdown run to extend the lead.
Pender answered when quarterback Austin Deal connected with Malcolm Baldwin, who used his speed to break loose for the Patriots’ first touchdown of the night.
Wallace-Rose Hill responded again, with its quarterback finding the end zone for another rushing touchdown.
The Bulldogs went on to defeat Pender, 28-6, handing the Patriots their first loss of the season following a bye week.
