Living Hope Day Center plans neighborhood meeting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Living Hope Day Center will meet with people who live and work near its new location as the organization prepares to open, allowing neighbors to learn more about the facility and voice questions or concerns.
Living Hope Day Center is moving into the former Sorrow Drowner bar at the corner of South 10th and Dock streets.
CEO and founders Tony and Christine Perez will hold a neighborhood meeting to explain how the center will operate, update residents on the move, and hear from people in the surrounding area.
The organization said the meeting is not open to the public or media. Attendance is limited to people who live or work in the immediate area.
Living Hope said the meeting is intended to provide a direct conversation with those most affected by the center’s new location.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at the First Baptist Church fellowship hall.
