Cape Fear CREW opens nominations for 2027 Awards of Excellence
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear CREW is accepting nominations for its 2027 Awards of Excellence, which recognize commercial real estate projects and professionals across southeastern North Carolina.
The organization announced Monday that submissions are open through Oct. 31. There is no fee to submit a nomination, and entries may be submitted by the public as well as Cape Fear CREW members.
The awards cover projects and initiatives in Wilmington and New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Onslow, Duplin, Sampson, Columbus and Bladen counties.
Eligible projects and initiatives must have received a certificate of occupancy or reached substantial completion between Jan. 1, 2025, and Oct. 31, 2026.
Award categories include Best Design; Project Excellence for Industrial and Office; Project Excellence for Multifamily, Mixed Use and Retail; Influential Woman in Commercial Real Estate; and Community Enhancement.
Two additional honors, the Impact Award and Beth Quinn Excellence Award, will be nominated by Cape Fear CREW members and voted on by the organization’s board of directors.
The Impact Award recognizes contributions and leadership in the region’s commercial real estate industry. The Beth Quinn Excellence Award honors a Cape Fear CREW member for contributions to the organization and is named for the late Beth Quinn, a founder of the Cape Fear chapter.
An independent panel of commercial real estate professionals is expected to judge nominations in early December.
The ninth annual Awards of Excellence ceremony is scheduled for March 18, 2027, at 11 a.m. at UNCW’s Burney Center in Wilmington.
