WMPO, Special Pedals to host free bicycle safety event

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and Special Pedals will host a free bicycle and pedestrian safety event Sunday, Sept. 27, in Wilmington.

The Tune Up & Tunes event will run from noon to 2 p.m. at 320 Red Cross Street following Special Pedals’ Coffee Ride.

Special Pedals will offer free bicycle tune-ups, while WMPO will provide bicycle and pedestrian safety resources, safety gear and other giveaways.

The event will also include live music, food available for purchase and activities for children.

The event is free and open to the public.
