Hobbton takes down East Columbus, 32-13

LAKE WACCAMAW, NC (WWAY) — Hobbton topped East Columbus 32-13 Friday night.

Hobbton went up early in this one, leading 16-0 at half.

Sophomore running back Javarus Johnson found a hole on the left side and followed his blocks into the end zone to put the Wildcats on the board.

East Columbus answered with senior quarterback Demetrius Dexter connecting with fellow senior tight end Dawson Crosby for a touchdown.

The Gators struggled to build momentum, however, as they had difficulty stringing together first downs.

Hobbton held on for the 32-13 victory.
