Fayetteville man arrested after home robbery while impersonating police

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) — A man is facing charges after allegedly robbing a home while impersonating a Fayetteville police officer.

The Fayetteville Police Department was called to a residence on Osceola Drive around 3:30 a.m. Sunday for a reported robbery involving a suspect impersonating a police officer.

When officers arrived, they learned that a man dressed as a police officer knocked on the door of the home before entering and stole money.

Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby and take him into custody.

Jayden Boone, 27, was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of stolen goods, impersonating a law enforcement officer and unrelated warrants.
