WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Week 6 of the high school football season brought more conference action across the Cape Fear as teams reached roughly the halfway point of the regular season.
North Brunswick held off a late comeback attempt from Topsail to earn a 14-10 conference victory Friday night. Meanwhile, Ashley ended a three-game losing streak with a dramatic victory over Laney.
The two games highlighted another busy Friday night of high school football across the Cape Fear as conference play continues to ramp up.
