UNCW CARE reminds campus community of sexual assault support resources
Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — UNCW’s Campus Advocacy, Resources and Education office is reminding students, faculty and staff about support available for those affected by sexual assault and other forms of interpersonal violence.
In a social media post, UNCW CARE said the reminder comes as current events bring increased attention to sexual assault on college campuses.
The office provides resources for people affected by sexual assault, stalking, harassment, relationship abuse and other forms of interpersonal violence.
CARE is open to UNCW students, faculty and staff from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office can be reached during business hours at 910-962-2273.
CARE also operates a 24-hour hotline at 910-512-4821.
Additional resources listed by the university include the UNCW Police Department at 910-962-2222, the UNCW Counseling Center at 910-962-3756, Title IX at 910-962-3557 and the Rape Crisis Center at 910-392-7460.
