Junior League of Wilmington to host 18th annual Touch-A-Truck

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Families will have a chance to get an up-close look at trucks, cars and construction equipment when the Junior League of Wilmington hosts its 18th annual Touch-A-Truck event.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Pointe at Barclay in Wilmington.

Attendees will be able to climb on, explore and learn about a variety of vehicles and equipment in a supervised environment.

The final hour of the event, from 1 to 2 p.m., will be free of horns and flashing lights for attendees with sensory sensitivities.

The event will be held rain or shine.

Advance tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Children younger than 2 can attend for free. Online ticket sales will end Friday, Oct. 9.

Tickets will also be available at the event for $5 each or four for $20.

Proceeds will support the Junior League of Wilmington’s educational and charitable work in the community.

The organization says it has contributed more than $1 million to projects and organizations in the Wilmington area during its more than 70-year history.
