Cirque Alice coming to Wilson Center for two performances in March

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A cirque production inspired by “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” is coming to Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center next spring.
Cirque Alice will take the stage for two performances, Friday, March 5, 2027, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 6, at 2 p.m.
The production reimagines Lewis Carroll’s story through acrobatics, aerial performances, contortion, puppetry, comedy, dance and live musical elements.
The show also features newly arranged contemporary interpretations of classical music.
Cirque Alice was created by Simon Painter and Tim Lawson and has previously been presented internationally in Australia, Singapore and Europe.
“The world of Alice is filled with imagination, eccentricity, surprise, and adventure, which makes it the perfect foundation for a cirque spectacular,” Painter said. “With Cirque Alice, we wanted to create a visually stunning experience that captures the wonder and chaos of Wonderland while showcasing some of today’s most extraordinary performers.”
The performances are part of the Wilson Center’s Family Series. Child and student tickets are available for $20 for any seat.
Wilson Center members will have access to an online ticket presale beginning Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public online and in person Friday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m.
The Wilson Center recommends purchasing tickets directly through its official ticketing service to avoid potential scams.
