WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) –Week 8 of the high school football season brought another exciting Friday night of action across the Cape Fear region as teams continued their push toward the playoffs.

With just a few weeks remaining in the regular season, conference matchups are becoming increasingly important as teams look to strengthen their records and improve their postseason positioning.
