Whiteville remains undefeated with 31-22 win over Fairmont

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — The Whiteville Wolfpack hosted the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes in a back-and-forth matchup, but Whiteville came away with a 31-22 victory to remain undefeated.

Whiteville made an early impact on defense with a crucial interception by Trayvionne Williams. However, Fairmont responded as running back Jeremiah Morris powered through the defense to put the Golden Tornadoes in front.

Williams answered for the Wolfpack with a highlight-reel play, making an impressive catch in the end zone to keep Whiteville in the fight.

The Wolfpack carried that momentum into the second half. Running back, Tylae Rose broke through the defense and rushed toward the end zone, helping Whiteville maintain control of the game.

Whiteville held on for the 31-22 win, extending its undefeated streak.

The Wolfpack will hit the road for their next matchup against the Red Springs Red Devils.
