LELAND, N.C. (WWAY) — The Town of Leland is inviting families to celebrate the fall season with a free festival featuring trick-or-treating, live entertainment and activities for all ages.

The town’s Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Founders Park, located at 113 Town Hall Drive.

The event will feature a pumpkin patch, face painting, yard games, food trucks and a trick-or-treat trail with booths hosted by local organizations.

Entertainment begins at 3 p.m. with the Wilmington Latin Dance Club leading a Day of the Dead-inspired Latin dance. Attendees are encouraged to join in on the dance floor.

The trick-or-treat trail will include booths from several community organizations, including the North Brunswick High School Key Club, Leland Area Garden Club, Smart Start of Brunswick County, Brunswick County Library Bookmobile and other local businesses and groups.

Festivalgoers can also enjoy pumpkin painting, face painting, yard games and a potato sack race throughout the afternoon.

Food trucks scheduled to participate include Revival Roadside, Mimi & Papa’s Gourmet Popcorn and Sweet Shop, Tropical Whip and KT’s BBQ.

Parking will be available at Founders Park and First Baptist Church, located at 517 Village Road NE.

The town says pets, alcohol, tobacco, vaping products and other e-cigarette products are prohibited at the event.

Admission is free, and the festival is open to the public.
