Charlotte Hornets team up to acquire former EpiCentre in Uptown

CHARLOTTE, NC (WSOC) — Lincoln Property Company, Vision Ventures and Hornets Sports & Entertainment announced a joint venture on Tuesday to acquire Queen City Quarter, a 302,324-square-foot mixed-use destination at 210 E. Trade Street in Uptown Charlotte, according to officials in a news release.

Formerly known as the EpiCentre, the property occupies approximately 3.17 acres along a corridor connecting Spectrum Center and the Charlotte Convention Center. The four-level complex, which opened in 2008, includes restaurant, retail, entertainment and office space, with direct connections to nearby hotels, the Overstreet Mall and the LYNX Blue Line light rail.
