Crash blocks intersection of George II Highway and Danford Road in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Drivers in Brunswick County are being warned to expect delays following a crash at the intersection of George II Highway and Danford Road.

According to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are on the scene of the crash, and the roadway is currently blocked.

Traffic is being diverted down Danford Road as deputies work to direct vehicles around the scene.

The sheriff’s office is asking drivers to use caution in the area, expect delays and follow the directions of deputies managing traffic.

Authorities have not released information about possible injuries, how many vehicles were involved or what caused the crash.

It is unclear how long the roadway will remain blocked.
