UNCW hosts pop-up vaccine event, sees slow turnout

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — With increasing COVID numbers at UNCW and around the Cape Fear, the university held a pop-up vaccine clinic today, with disappointing results.

No appointments were necessary and the shots were free, but turnout was slow.

Campus officials, however, say it’s important to give the Seahawk community the chance to get the shot.
