SOUTH CAROLINA (WPDE) — You keep hearing from local, state and federal officials that there is a resurgence in COVID-19 cases. But what does that actually look like in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee?
South Carolina reported the third-highest daily case count since the start of the pandemic on Friday, Aug. 27.
S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 6,697 new cases of COVID-19. There were 4,650 confirmed cases, 2,047 probable. The case data is from Aug. 25.
