Body of North Carolina man washes ashore near Cape Lookout

CAPE LOOKOUT, NC (WWAY) — A body washed up Monday morning on the north end of the South Core Banks.

The body was identified as 65-year-old Gregory L. Miller of Durham.

Officials said Miller had been staying at the Great Island Cabin Camp and the cause of death is still undetermined.

National Park Service rangers and the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office have began an investigation.
